Upload fails and no error is shown

I have a problem with my gallery. I try to upload images, it says it is successful and then goes to the gallery I wanted to upload the images too. But I cannot see any of the images.

I have tried both GD2 and ImageMagick. It doesn't make a difference.
Sometimes if I rename the file to random letters it will work.
I have checked and I have no photos awaiting approval.

Please help.

Is the image your trying to upload OVER THE PHP MAX ALLOWABLE SIZE OF 2MB?

If it is your server drops the file hense why there is nothing to process. Normally you need to alter your php setup to allow larger files.

This would be my guess as to your issue.

Hi Chuck, no they are not, the biggest so far is around 500kb.

I know, its random. At the moment I can't upload this file. No error, just loads up the category I am trying to upload it too.

Chuck S April 12th, 2010 07:52 AM

Is that file originally over 2mb your trying to upload because that sounds to me your upload is being dropped.

ZGeek April 14th, 2010 06:19 PM

Nope, its the exact file I have attached. Is it possible to force photopost to show an error so I can see why it is failing?

Chuck S April 14th, 2010 08:02 PM

Not if the file is being dropped by the server because the issue is that happens before the script processes anything.

I am not allowed to upload anything to your site because of your quotas

ZGeek April 17th, 2010 07:31 PM

I have removed the quotas.

If it helps, the last message I see before it goes to the gallery page when I upload is

Your image was uploaded successfully!

I just tried to upload three random images at a go. Only one of the three uploaded.

everytime I have uploaded the image uploads varied sizes

If nothing happens on upload and you either go back to the upload page or your gallery then the image is being dropped by the server. Please tell me the exact thing happening to you. Saying one of three uploaded is too vague for me to respond to.

When I upload an image, It just goes to the gallery page. It sounds like the image is being dropped.

But, if I log into a test account and then upload the same image. It tends to work.

If the image is being dropped, how can I find out why? It's not the size of the image. I know that much so far.

Chuck S April 22nd, 2010 07:41 AM

Is it just one login? I have never heard of an image being dropped for one user only thats a file size issue

You can sent the login in question through the contact us link. Basically we need as much information as possible.
