Mysql error code

Hello,

I've received this email from ppp database:

Quote:
An error was encountered during execution of the query:

SELECT id,user,userid,cat,storecat,date,title,description,ismature,keywords,bigimage,width,height,filesize,views,medwidth,medheight,medsize,approved,rating,votes,allowprint,numcom,lastposter FROM pp_photos WHERE userid= AND storecat=0 ORDER BY disporder,bigimage DESC

The query returned with an errorcode of:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND storecat=0 ORDER BY disporder, bigimage DESC' at line 1

Thanks I will check it out and get with you here. I had a quick look at the code and that query with userid in it would only be ran if the variable ppuser is present yet clearly your userid is empty so I need to figure out how that would happen.

let me know if you need access to my server to investigate the error. My ppp works well so I don't really know what this error could cause

all the best

I get that EXACT SAME message about once every 5 days or so... Looking back at my error logs, it seems it's been going on for a couple of months now.

yeah figuring out exactly how it happens is the mystery.

Looking at our code that specific query structure is ONLY ran if the variable $ppuser EXISTS so therefore it would not be empty.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

well you can surpress the error by doing this in showgallery.php I would think. its the last line in the code block I posted above all I did here is encapsulate the $ppuser variable.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Honestly I still dont see how that query would ever be ran because as previously stated its only active if $ppuser is not empty so you should not have an issue. Maybe a hack conflict if this is vb.

Hi,

I also get this. Latest PP and VB, only started when I changed to those. I also at the same time changed to the newer PHP and MySQL needed for vb4.

Got the error 21 times today. I just put your work around in place.

My guess/thought was to wonder if it could be connected to the mobile phone integration - I still had that in place, and looking at it the files are dated 2005.

I just found a thread where you explain it is defunct, I had no idea, and of course the setting is still in the admin system and so on. No problem anyway, I just deleted it, though it is a neat and more needed than ever now type feature, as so many people take lots of photos with their phones. I'd like an iphone/touch app for PP/vb to be honest... anyway, I digress...

The error message was:

An error was encountered during execution of the query:

SELECT id,user, userid, cat, storecat, date, title, description, ismature, keywords, bigimage, width, height, filesize, views, medwidth, medheight, medsize, approved, rating, votes, allowprint, numcom, lastposter FROM photos WHERE userid= AND storecat=0 ORDER BY disporder, date DESC

The query returned with an errorcode of:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND storecat=0 ORDER BY disporder, date DESC' at line 1

Upgraded to 7.0.1 and I've gotten 150+ of these same errors and have no idea what is going on here. Any solutions yet?

I'm running VB 3.8.5

Also, when I go into the admin panel, the stats page never loads but I can navigate to everything else.
