| Upgrade to Photopost 7.01 / vb4 CSS path display issue?
Hey,
We're having an issue getting all of our CSS to load properly.
Here's a direct link to the page with our display issues: A community photo gallery - WTF Gallery
Any pointers on how I can resolve this? Does it have an issue with sub-domains?
Forums are at:
forums.wtf.com/forum.php
Photopost is at: www.wtf.com/gallery
Thanks so much!

if you turn off VBSEO does it work
My suggestion is make sure in vbseo admin panel where it asks you what directories NOT TO write with vbseo you enter photopost directory in there.

I've tested without vbseo turned completely off.
I've also taken care of the gallery directory not being written to when vbseo IS on!
I have css written to the file system.
No luck so far.

This definately looks like the same vbseo mess I have seen on any site trying to run vbseo 3.5

Your css stylesheets are loaded properly in the page source and I see you even have full paths to all images in them also so everything looks fine.
The only time I have seen this issue is with vbseo 3.5 and turning it completely off solves the issue and then as others whom have posted here posted setting your photopost directory in the appropriate place in the vbseo control panel correctly will fix the issue with it on.

I've done all that and it didn't work, so I went ahead and turned it back on again.
I searched out those answers first before I came to you, but unfortunately those haven't worked for me.
Does it have to be off for a certain amount of time before everything can supposedly work again? Is there some sort of odd caching going on somewhere that wouldn't allow it to work for 10+ minutes? I'm pulling my hair out!

I am not aware of any caching of the vbulletin header at least not in our product.
Try this. Turn off vbseo. View your gallery with the default vb style included with vb not your new one. How do things display?

You can also try using your style not as a file and see if that works

Also one last suggestion if nothing else works. Remember the only time this issue has been encountered is with a plugin conflict so maybe try turning off all plugins.

Terrific suggestions.
I'll run each of them and see what sticks and report back!

Leaving vbseo alone, and saving css to files set to yes, AND leaving plugins turned on -- I just went to the gallery and switched to the default vbulletin 4 style and it loaded perfectly.
At least that's helping to isolate that it wouldn't be vbseo or saving css as a file, OR a plug-in issue. Hmm.
Any idea what to look for next?

Make sure any paths possible to images are full urls? Thats the same old same old suggestions from the vb3 thread when using custom styles vBulletin Installation/Integration Common Issues and Resolutions.
But I still would try all the suggestions especially turning off plugins

I think what is going on, is that with Lynne's (at vbulletin.org) Additional CSS modification, it is a template that is not being called...
Reference: Add additional_css.css to all your pages - vBulletin.org Forum
So if you run that product (which creates additional_css and additional_css2.css templates) they are not called by Photopost.
When you have multiple styles, that add-on is practically a requirement to not have to edit all of vb's css templates directly.
What would be the best way to be sure I call those templates so that Photopost can use them? If it doesn't call the additional_css and additional_css2 templates I cannot load my styles in Photopost.

Photopost integrates with vbulletin 4 fine. We load the default vbulletin files fine and as long as any new styles follow the vb css guidelines things will work fine.
Thus you have tracked your issue down to a hack. Neither vbulletin.com nor us support code hacking in our products so any official support to make it work would have to come from Lynne. Now unlike vbulletin.com I will at least throw you a bone but if it doesnt work you need to go to Lynne for help.
In our header-inc.php you could try making sure your $extra_css line is this Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Hey, Chuck.
Just a follow-up. We got it all taken care of, thanks in large part to your last post here.
There is a new template in vBulletin 4.01 called "additional.css" that you may want to make sure you include in the next PhotoPost update. Most will begin using the built-in additional template going forward and not use Lynne's above mentioned modification for it. Thanks again!
