Comment issue.

I'm not sure that this is a bug or an error I have made during installation, but when I try to post a comment to an image I get the following error message.

Quote:
You did not fill in the comments or rating field.
When I go back and click submit again it process the comment with no problem.

The forum this is hosted on is VB 4.01 and this is a completely new install of photopost pro 7.01. I have it set to with VB integration on and the options for Enhanced Features & WYSIWYG on as well.

Any thoughts on what is going wrong?

I created a test user since I have Admin access and when I posted a comment it worked perfectly. So it appears to be related to my admin status. I hope this helps you help me figure this out.

Are you trying to comment on your own ad? What happens if you try hitting submit again after getting the error?

This is not an ad it is a photo in photo post pro. It happens whether it is mine or my test user. And see my first post for what happens when I click it again.

I was just coming here to post this, as it's happening on our site as well.

We just upgraded to vb 4.0.1 today, and I have to assume that because no one else reported it until today (we have staff set up to specifically leave comments) that it's linked to that upgrade.

well from my testing the issue ONLY happens when trying to comment on your own pictures.

It never happens with the full editor just the quick reply.

It never happens when your using the quick reply on others photos only your own.

Unfortunately, it does now.

I logged in as "me" and tried to comment on a member's photo. Received the error.

I logged in as a test user that has no images, and commented on someone else's photo, received the error.

I am happy to give you the test account for my site so you can try to reproduce this.. however, this is not an issue of commenting on my own photos.

Our gallery is here.

Click on any of the top images, this account hasn't uploaded anything since 2008 and try to comment.

This fixed it for me, but I'll post to my members to see if they end up having any similar issues.

glad to help out

No idea why the line that was there did not work considering I looked at the vb4 quick reply form line and it was identical but glad that line helped you.
