Display Problems with german special Characters

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I have display problems in PhotoPost with german special characters ("ÄäÜüÖöß") in the selection pulldownbox, see attachment. The special character are shows as questionmarks.

It looks not very nice. What should I do?
Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Frank

Are you loading the correct character set?

I checked my category dropdown boxes and things display correctly for me but my sites encoding is UTF-8

My encoding in the source is <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />

But I set nothing. Where can I set the encoding in PhotoPost?

well there is the issue I would think.

Try changing your encoding in your language file under your photopost languages directory to maybe utf-8

Hello Chuck,

this lead to an everywhere wrong display of special characters, see attachment.

The problem before was only in the pulldown box used to move images to another category.

Frank

Okay what is the german character set?

See when using german in an english iso 1 page you want to use the html equivilents to display properly

&auml; , &ouml;, and &uuml; etc etc

Have you tried that in your catnames?
