photopost prifiles mixed up

All photopost gallery profiles are mixed up. Information from person A can be read at the profile from person B.

New members fot example have more than 100 comments (already), those are comments given to someone elses photo's. Also personal information like own websites and biography is not their own. People can read private messages that belong to others.

I believe this is a bug.

btw, merry christmas

Its not a bug. You need to clear favorites notifications messages in the database

You switched your integrations which is your issue

Not really something our company supports. We do have a script which would update photos and comments albums ownership but it doesnt update stuff like that.

Hi Chuck,

On behalve of Anja from Lurofoto and as a reply to your answer and her question I would really like to know which dbase field we should empty, is it a VB of PP database table? Does this have any concequences to the entries?
I'm guessing your meaning emptying the field with PHPadmin?

What do you mean by this, what have they switched?
From a user point of view I really cannot understand what you are meaning, and it's hard to get to source of the problem, but please tell us exaclty what dbase field we need to clear.

Gerard

Gerard

They switched integration from another forum to vb.

My suggestion if favorites and notifications are mixed up for users is to clear those tables in phpmyadmin. Same goes for messages table

I am talking of course of the photopost tables most likely prefixed with the pp_ prefix.

drare December 28th, 2009 08:16 AM

Ok Chuck, so if I may recaptulate I understand the following dbase fields should be completely made empty:

pp_favorites
pp_messages
pp_notify

The pp_messages field is 12.417kb is size, and contains 12.420 entries, it's rather a large field, but if this is the way to correct the problem at hand than it should be done.
Of course a backup will be made. Since were now going to empty these fields should you recommend closing the site while doing the clearing?

Thanks for your answer.
Gerard

Yes clear those 3 tables.

drare December 28th, 2009 09:17 AM

Ok thanks!

Enjoy the new year if I dont hear from you. ;)

Anja December 31st, 2009 06:19 AM

Chuck, the action as you descriped had partial effect. People still have information from others in their profile. like date of birth, url and location in the profilesection. I just made a new account and I allready have someone elses profile information in my profile. What's next that can be done?

By the way, I believe there is a misunderstanding: We never switched integration from another forum, before vBulletin there was no forum integrated with photopost and photopost was not integrated with another forum. The only integration we ever had is photopost with vBulletin.

Chuck S December 31st, 2009 10:30 AM

Anja that is switching an integration.

There is one thing you can try because your not using the photopost users table.

Try running this query in phpmyadmin

DELETE FROM pp_users;

Anja December 31st, 2009 11:14 AM

What will be deleted? I hope not all of the profiles and avatars?

Chuck S December 31st, 2009 11:44 AM

remember your not running a standalone gallery anymore your integrating with vb.

You need to clear that table as well as the other 3 previously discussed then you should be fine. Profile info for users really is in the forum right.

Yes, but galleryprofile is still there and information from person A is found in profile from person B etc. And that's not right at all!

We're going to have newyears eve now.
Happy newyear

Chuck S December 31st, 2009 01:31 PM

Right which is why you want to clear all the old standalone photopost information

Anja December 31st, 2009 01:50 PM

I understand but will the profiles just be clean but still usable or will they be vanished in thin air? Link to comments is already gone. Before I could see (10) recent comments given and (10) recent comments received. Now I get an error: "We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error."

Chuck S December 31st, 2009 02:50 PM

Not sure what you mean where is the url to this error?

Anja January 1st, 2010 03:54 AM

Message - LuRoFoto Gallery

Probably by clearing things in database galleryprofile, forumprofile is not reachable anymore.
We have an error there also. Nobody can reach nor edit their forumprofile.

Chuck S January 1st, 2010 09:56 AM

Have you tried running a rebuild members last photo in admin scan database

Chuck S January 1st, 2010 09:59 AM

Your issue is not with the profiles because quite simply they are there. Have you as admin logged into the global options in admin set your debug option to display errors. go view that page with the error tell me what your problem is.

Anja January 2nd, 2010 05:35 AM

We had to make a restore, because vB's adminsettings were also not reachable (database error) after clearing
pp_favorites
pp_messages
pp_notify
also.
Now members can reach their forumprofiles again, sent messages to eachother and I can reach vB's adminsettings. Now personal information from person A is still shown in galleryprofile from person B.

The restore btw, removed a lot of pictures and even some registrations
