Can't add categories in 6.22
 

I get the following error:

Error adding new category to the database. Returned id was 0.

Any ideas?

As admin make sure in global options to set the debug setting to display errors and then post the true error back here when you try to add a category.

I did that last night based on findings in another thread. It broke the gallery again. I was back to the same PHP stack overflow error and repeating header. I had to restore the database to recover.

I was able to fix the category issue by changing the MySQL my.ini. I removed strict mode if I recall.

Okay well then that should solve your issue then if strict mode was the culprit.
