I think it's your cookie settings in admin
If you are using a forum software it needs to be the same across the system.

Thanks.

But we have vb 3.8.0 + photopost classifieds, which has been installed without a hitch for weeks.

Any suggestions ?

Not really if the cookies are lined up properly and set as instructed in that thread you will not have any issues.

Ok cookie path is:

$config['Misc']['cookieprefix'] = 'bb';

We have forum at www.oursite.com/forum

classifieds at www.oursite.com/classifieds

Should we change cookie path to

$config['Misc']['cookieprefix'] = '.oursite.com'; ?

You must be loged on to your website as admin

In the Classifieds navbar you click on admin
On left menu click Cookie Settings

Then you will see this screen

I made a misstake when making the screenshot..

.yoursite.com is supose to be on line up NOT IN THE SMF BOX

Your admin link is right on the menubar of Photopost when logged in as admin. The script name is adm-index.php

That looks good

If the cookies between both products are not the same you will be logged off because the cookies must be set to be readable across the products. If you did not set the cookie prefix of bb in photopost then photopost would not know to look for a cookie from vb called bbuserid it would look for userid.

Hope that explains why this is so important and why we have a FAQ on this issue.
