| webmaster can not log-in
I worked on the admin from my photopost during several hours. Than I logged out, and tried to log-in with my webmaster account again (100% sure about password) But no luck. Than, to be very sure, I tried the forgot password option. But than I get: This user does not have a profile
Any idea?
Thanks!

Try removing this from member.php and use the forgot password thing Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

I removed the code and indeed the forgot password seemed to work. However, when I used the email account the webmaster was registered with, I got an email that a totally different account was reset and I still can not log-in with the webmaster account.
I am 100% sure that the user, who's password was reset, did have a very different email address.
There seems to be something very wrong?
Thanks!

It is getting weirder: I logged in with the user I received in my mail (not an admin at all) and I can log-in in the admin screen. I get following errors there:
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/ansicht/public_html/ansichten/adm-misc.php on line 1245
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/ansicht/public_html/ansichten/adm-misc.php on line 1269
The site itself seems to work fine...

More info:
the webmaster account has disappeared. Instead, there are 2 accounts now with the username I received the password for.
This all happened after a bulk upload. I uploaded a few 100 photos as the webmaster but under a different username.
I did this many times before and always without any problem. Now, all photos which were uploaded by the webmaster but under a different username, are now set to be uploaded by the webmaster. (also the one which were uploaded in the past and than counted for the person I uploaded it for.)

I tried to figure out what I did different this time than other times: I had problems with the bulk upload, I got an error. I searched here and found this article: upload error
I removed jpegtran and after vthat, the bulkupload worked fine. But in fact that was maybe the moment that the webmaster account got the same name as the user I was uploading for.
I closed the gallery, so if you have any suggestions that would be highly appreciated!

You must be registering accounts with the same email which is probally the heart of your issue.
You can use the install script to reset the password for the admin user which is userid 1 when you run the install you will see the link to reset the admin password.

I never registered another account under the email which was registered for the webmaster. And suddenly, all uploaded photos by the webmaster under another user's name, are not counted for the user anymore. I believe there is something else wrong.
PS Is registering accounts with the same email not ok for the script? If so I belive that that should be made impossible to do?

Before I re-open the gallery I would like to know please:
Can I take care that the photos I bulk uploaded under another username will have that username again?
All bulk uploaded photos suddenly have the name webmaster under it instead of the name of the owner. It concerns approx. 5000 photos so manually adjusting this is no option.
thanks again,
Paul

You should always have separate emails otherwise your going to change multiple user passwords etc Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
we will reset the password for ALL users with that email.
Then when you click the forgot email to reset the password we do it just for the one user you clicked the reset for and if you have multiple users with multiple emails to reset multiple users.
You can upload as another user on upload fine but not sure what your saying about photos arent counted as some user.

Chuck,
believe me or not, when I uploaded as administrator for another user, the name of my account was changed to the name of the user I was uploading for. (There were 2 users with that name then) I can prove that by showing the admin log: suddenly it was not "webmaster" changing admin settings, but the name of the user.
Anyway, I just changed the name back to webmaster and everuthing seems fine.
3 questions:
1) Should I add the removed code again to member.php
2) Wouldn't it be a good idea not to accept an email adress more than once?
3) I removed /usr/bin/jpegtran is that a problem?
thanks a lot!
Paul

I tested uploading as another user and nowhere was my original account username changed as a user. there is nowhere in our code that would do that. The only thing changed is the photo is uploaded as another user 201-O-9 - ReefTalk Gallery
Perfect example I uploaded as testing using my admin account that photo belongs to testing and my admin account is fine
1. yes remove it
2. not really you can use the same email all I am saying is if you reset the password your gonna get multiple emails for multiple accounts to reset passwords each will reset the proper account.
3. Not a problem at all
