IP Cache Bugs...

Ok, another big problem in my gallery. Some of my users using this broadband service, Sirius Broadband Ltd. has been getting errors trying to login to the gallery.

First of all, I do not know much about their ip whether its static or not. But when I used coppermine, the users using this broadband connection had no problems logging into the gallery. They still dont have any problems logging into the forum which is IPB. I will give a real example because these two users reported the same error.

Username "Drohi" uses ZIP Broadband and he logged in the forum with his correct username, the moment he went to the gallery his username changed to "shadmangt" which is another username who uses ZIP Broadband connection as well. The same thing happened to shadmangt, when he tried getting into the gallery it said "Welcome Drohi", but when he clicks into the forum, the forum recognizes him as shadmangt again.

Drohi's IP Address is: 203.189.230.3
shadmangt's IP Address is the same: 203.189.230.3

Another bug they reported, they cannot see what was the recent comments, they see 10 days old comments...I have the category cache turned off.

Now the problem is, I have around 30 users using the same ip address and most of them who logged in the site recently has been getting the error of logging in with another different username. Can you tell me what can be done to fix this issue? Anything in the admincp that can help cure this problem. This is simply weird, since the forum recognizes them as the correct username but the gallery doesn't. You can find details by entering the ip addresses at websites such as NIC.COM - Network Information Center, Domain Name Registration.

Your help regarding this will be well appreciated.

If your users are cookied in correctly with your cookies set correctly then there can be no issues. If they are all same IP address guests then thats what they would be guests.

Your forum and gallery cookies must be set correctly

cookie path /

cookie prefix SAME

cookie domain .domain.com

I do not know what to tell you there as we do not log people in by IP's We log them in by userid cookie and password cookies or a session id if they have that cookie.

Nothing is done via an IP ever.
