Anonymous Comments...

I dont know why but even after setting all group permissions to:

Guests/Validating Members/Banned Members cant comment, cant post pictures, cant do anything except view images.

Even after all this, I get anonymous comments with no usernames, just the ip address. I believe it has something to do with cookies, I am 100% all settings for the groups are fine. Do you guys know how to fix this so that the member name or only logged in members can post comments. Do you know how reset all cookies, delete users cookies and start fresh so that members whose cookies were saved before in old gallery and forum can now post comments, post photos and log in easily. Some of my members cant even see the recent comments.

You can see the annonymous comments in the comshow.php, but not in the recent comments PAL, you can also see it in showphoto.php.

here take a look, got a lot of annonymous comments, please help!

On 27th, October 2008, Chuck, you mailed me this:

Hello

I am just trying to have us determine the steps needed to try and replicate the issue. Once we can replicate the issue we can understand why it happens and fix it. At present you and I both can not post comments when unregistered

However, nothing was fixed, I dont know if you got stuck with any other work, but I am viewing annonymous comments all the time even now...I already gave you all my login details, you can check in this link:
WheelsBD.com Gallery | Putting The Pedal To The Metal! - Nissam Cima 3.0 (rebadged as Infiniti Q45)

The image author has no name, just the ip shows up, even his comment is viewed without his username. All the users have said they cleared all their cache, cookies and restarted their browsers and still this problem exists. I do not know what to do at my end, everyday my gallery gets around 10 or 20 such annonymous comments, its getting annoying for the admins and mods in my gallery to go delete the comments and the members are questioning us too. Please solve it asap.

Thanks.

I asked you if you had more precise steps to replicate the issue. You and I both can not replicate the issue. If we can not replicate it I can not fix it. That was basically what I am getting at here.

Alright from what I can understand, the users using who logged in the WheelsBD.com Gallery | Putting The Pedal To The Metal! - Main Index link, their cookies and caches are saved because the old gallery was stored in WheelsBD.com Gallery | Putting The Pedal To The Metal! - Main Index. I am guessing photopost recognizes it as a user, since the cookie matches, but it just doesnt show it when its try to reading the members name/details.

I asked few of my users to clear their cache and cookies and some of them got it working with no problems. But some of them are still having the errors even after clearing their cache, cookies and browsing history. Is there anyway to clear all cookies and cache in the gallery from the admins side so that all user's cookies and caches are deleted and saved from the next time they log in?

Only way to clear all cookies for a user is for them to actually physically clear their cookies and that depends by browser.

I am not sure what your trying to represent by those links above since they are the same exact link.
