click to level gallery and jumps down two layers

I don't know why this is doing this. My Photo Gallery - Main Index - Powered by PhotoPost I have a one top level catagory and when you click on it it jumps you not to the next level that has 6 catagories. instead it takes you into one of thos 6 catagories immediately.

My goal is for users to click on the top catagory and then see the 6 children and choose one of them. Right now when you click on the top you get directly into one of the children.

Hello

This is because your using the gallery look not forum look and the parent category link is the actual category name

The thumbnail is the last uploaded photo and links to the category that it is posted in.

So How do I fix this. I tried uploading a new image just to the top level catagory and that worked until I uploaded another image in a child catagory and it became the new thumbnail on the top level catagory. You mentioned "gallery look and forum look" where is that able to be changed. I can't find it.

You can change the look in Admin => Index Options => Do you want to use the forum-style layout?

There is not really anything to fix as thats how its designed for that layout. The thumbnail is the last upload link just like in the forum layout.
