| MORE option fields not showing up
version 6.1
on every photo page, there is an icon (photo_link.png) that says MORE to the right of the Linked Thumbnail: field...
sometimes the MORE icon does not show up to provide you with these extra fields
Linked Medium:
Medium Image:
Direct link:
after sifting through my forums, it seems that in all cases i have seen so far, it only does this to pages that have photos that are not large enough to cause a second page to be built...
for example... if a photo is not large enough to make the software generate a second page for the larger viewing, then the one page that is generated, does not have the MORE icon next to the Linked Thumbnail: field...
has anyone else experienced this problem?

If you do not have a medium image then you do not have anything to display that would be a correct thing. Here is the code in your showphoto template Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
If you want to make sure you have medium links for your images lower your medium threshold a little to make sure your images have mediums and in scan database in admin you can elect to rebuild mediums after lowering the threshold in upload options for mediums.

Chuck,
Is it not the case that you can only link to full size medium images as the largest option though? Meaning, the best case scenario is that if you lower the medium generation size, yes you'll create a medium image, but that will also in turn be the largest full size pic you can link to? So now you can only display a small medium size image on a vBulletin forum for example?
What our members have always done in the past, is link to larger pics from the gallery and post them on our vBulletin forums. Now that this has changed, they can only display thumbnails or in some cases a medium full size image.
Is this how this is designed to work?
-Chris

this is a serious step backwards in the gallery design, in my opinion...
why did it have to change in the upgrade, after all these years?
my members are all confused, the photo threads they post look terrible, bad, bad, bad design flaw, please, please, please fix this or at least add options for us to link to larger images without having to click on the MORE icon, which hardly anyone seems to be understanding or seeing.

Feel free to post any suggestions for Michael you wish in the suggestions forums. People are screaming more ajax so it was moved to ajax.

People have requested more AJAX features in the software so the developer made this AJAX controlled meaning you click the MORE link to view more.
