Bulk Upload Errors

I get these when bulk uploading:

Processing 04486000a.jpg...
Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/bin/jpegtran) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/xxxxx/:/tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/) in /home/xxxxx/domains/xxxxxx.com/public_html/photos/image-inc.php on line 753

however, the images process and appear correctly.

Your server has open_basedir restriction set in PHP settings therefore you can not use files out of your specific web server path. Not really a bug but easy to adjust. Go to Admin => Global Options and remove the jpegtran path and make it empty. Thats all you need to do.

If you remove the jpegtran path from global options in admin you will definately not get the above error.

I know it's a old thread, but I get the same error. I have fix it added this line in my virtualhost

php_admin_value open_basedir none

( was php_admin_value open_basedir "/var/www/user/data:." )

strange because when my vbulletin was in php-cgi mode all was fine but when I decided to use php apache mod I get the error

Open base directory restriction means you can only use files within the webroot specified therefore you can not use jpegtran jhead or mogrify any programs outside the path specified so most users would need to use GD2 to process images not Imagemagick.
