Parse error when accessing messages

I'm being notified that I have 4 messages in my photopost but when I go to look I am getting a parse error

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /hsphere/local/home/theaussi/theaussieaviator.net/gallery/templates/profile.tmpl on line 665

Where do the people even go to send a message through photopost?
