| Uploading Issue with 6.1
I've had many members having issues with uploading to this new gallery. After hitting the upload submit button nothing happens? I personally don't have this happening to me so I usually try and upload others images which can be a PITA. I ask them to dump their catch, name their files simply and not to add HTML to the description until after the image uploads. But this is really a pain. Any ideas on if this is a bug or if this is something on their end?
TIA
Amy

What do you mean nothing happens. We need to know the specific issue to assist.
Examples
1. If they try and upload and goes to a white timeout page they may be uploading a file your server is chocking on.
2. If they upload and nothing appears and it just goes back to the upload page with nothing uploaded they may be uploading a file larger than your php is set to handle
The answer all depends on the specific issue.

Thanks Chuck, the only problem I've had is it says "Preparing to Process Image" and nothing else happens. Then when I try a different image if it uploads that one it will show the other image that didn't upload in queue, along with the new one as well? I'm going to ask the members for specifics so we can figure this out
TIA!!

hello,
some members are saying same things to me. They can't upload the picture (for me it works great, even if sometimes its a bit long to upload a picture), each time they try to upload (they click on upload) they got a blank screen and they cant upload it (or sometimes they have the gif loading and they can wait all day without charging the picture)
and after they try to upload another one, sometimes they can see the other one in queue

I am SO glad someone else is having this problem as well! I tell them to rename their files very simply, make sure they're under the file size and they always are, I also tell them not to add any html in the description until after the photo uploads then go back and edit it, and I also have them dump their cache which can be a pain. But this is a lot for them to do since the version we had before this never had this problem. It's kinda a PITA.

Yep, same here. If I upload for them I change what I stated above if need be, and I can upload just fine?

hey, after reading some post about blank page, i find some tips :
- clearing the /upload folder
- adding
ini_set("memory_limit", "48M");
ini_set("max_execution_time", 0);
to pp-inc.php
i did it and my co-admin can upload pictures now, i will ask members to do it to see if it works

another strange thing ^^
i have photopost since a lots of time and each time i upgraded i didn't removed all the files before uploading the new ones
so i have many files which are not used anymore, so i decided to clear all files and upload the just the new ones .... my co-admin can't upload anymore (so i bring back all my last files and it works like a charm) |

Are the "old" version and the "new" version the same version? i.e. are you upload 6.1 files to a gallery you are running 6.1 with?
