Distorted/Pixellated thumbnails?

Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem before and may be able to offer some advice on whats wrong?

Where you can see that anything uploaded recently has a distorted/pixellated thumbnail. If you click on the thumbnail, the fullsize image that is displayed is fine, it just seems to be the thumbnails that are getting distorted on upload.

Server is using GD2 for the image processing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That usually happens when you select GD1 as your processor and your server has GD2 or vice versa. I would suggest you check your processor in global options and then in phpinfo check the GD version.

Hey Chuck, thanks for the fast response. I have checked both these settings and they seem to be set the same.

Having a look through the forums I came across this post:
Distorted thumbnails(NOT A BUG)

I think I have the same problem as I have had a look through my settings table and I also cannot find the row that sets jpeg quality. (row ID88)

Is there a way you could give me the info required to insert this row to see if it fixes the issue?

That is the query make sure to use your own table prefix if its different

Not a problem only time I saw this is in this old thread here and most likely it was an upgrade from GMS we sold years ago which did not have this setting. So who knows at any rate glad to assist.
