Blank pages in gallery

I have a friend that also runs a Photopost gallery site, and I'm trying to help him with a problem he is having.

When you go to his gallery, all you get is a blank page. If you try to pull up the page directly (domain.com/gallery/index.php), it asks if you want to save the file "index.php".

I've checked his error logs and nothing is showing up.

I've check his php.ini file, and everything seems ok.

I've checked to make sure that the PHP engine was permitted to run in that directory, and it is.

Other PHP scripts work fine on his site as well.

Any suggestions?

well posting a true url and integration type would assist here there are tons of variables to consider. Like he could be integrating with vb and trying to load the vb header etc but have the wrong path to the forum entered.

And if I try to open adm-index.php, I get the same thing where it asks me if I want to download the file.

Is it integrated with this? If so check the server path to the forums in config-int.php the $vbpath line

If you place a phpinfo file in the gallery directory does it run?

If it tries to download a file possible php memory issue. You can try doing this

I'm beginning to think it might be an integration issue.

As far as the memory limit, I have that set to 64M in php.ini, but I'll try the phpinfo() thing anyway.

Thanks

to know if its an integration thing just turn off the define switches in config-int.php from on to off for vb3 and see if the site loads. You can also rerun the install and make sure all settings are correct.

I put a test php script in there and it works fine.

I checked the settings in the database, and everything there seems fine.

I've taken out the footer and header links.

I've turned vB integraition off.

Still not getting anything.

My suggestion is rerun install and correctly integrate with vb after making sure all your files are new except config files. You need to do this as something is not correct in your settings and if your not getting an error and what i have posted does not help you can not get the real error in the logs then rerun your install.

Found out what the problem was...

Apparently there was a problem with one of the tables in the database (iponline). Repaired it, and it works fine now.

Not sure why no errors were coming up, though. I'll have to check his error reporting settings.

yeah server error logs always tell the problem if php error reporting setup is not correct.

Funny thing is, the error logs weren't saying anything...
