mogrify

I have a version of PP that works with my forums and I am going to remove it and make it a stand alone gallery just for me and change the license to the new site once I get it working.

I have installed the stand alone version and it went off without a hitch, sort of.

When I try to upload a photo to the stand alone I get the following error:

"/usr/bin/X11/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 100x75 -quality 70 -geometry 100x75 -unsharp 10

I don't understand why I am getting this error. I have the version that I am going to remove from my forums on the same domain and I can upload photos there without a problem and both mogrify lines are the same.

Yeah you either use GD2 or find out the correct path to mogrify on your server and update the path in edit config in admin. If there is anything else we can do let us know.

I hate GD2 because there are so many limitations with it. I got ImagicMagick to work after getting the right path to mogrify and also fixing the "escapeshellarg() has been disabled" issue.

Thanks Chuck

yeah your host locked down certain things that can limit things a bit there. Like some hosts lock down exec and in that case you have no choice but to use GD2. Yeah although GD2 makes nice images like Imagemagick with it being part of the PHP install instead of an external program it has limitations set in PHP which can be a drag on some server setups if you do not have control over the php setup.
