Users can delete categories even if "delete photos" is set to no.

I have it set so users cannot delete images once uploaded - however recently, some of them have discovered a work around in the fact that if the images are in a personal album - they can just delete the album and all the photos will be zapped too!

I would have expected the behaviour to be that if there were photos already in an album, it wouldn't be able to be deleted....

This is a BIG issue for me - any suggestions on a quick fix?

Hello

Well categories and albums are two separate things. The default behavior you see if the intended action as a personal album is owned by the user not the site hense they have the ability to delete it if you allow them to make personal albums. If you want them not to be able to delete an album possibly you could remove this in pp-inc.php line 4735

Sorry I worded that badly .... I meant albums.

But the thing I mean is, there is an option in Photopost to not allow users to delete photos... this makes it seem like they can't delete any photos (indeed, if they go into one of their albums, they can't delete anything...)

They should be able to remove an album however if it is empty, as they might have moved the photos elsewhere.

If you delete a category as admin you would delete all photos in it as well. This is the default working of the code as there personal album is there own to do with as they wish just like you administer categories. If you do not wish to give them an option to delete an album then you can remove the line I noted. If there is anything else we can do let me know buddy.

I getcha - well it would be nice in a future version then, to have an option to not allow them to delete personal albums (if something is in them)

In the meantime, I'll remove that line!

You can place suggestions for future versions in the suggestions forum for the developer to consider.
