| ecard function not working..
I've sent ecards to several people, and tried sending a test to myself - the car' sends' and gives the success message that it was sent, but it never shows up in the user's PM box - how would they get notified they had an ecard? I am using the member name field, and not the email one, because most users know the member name but not the email offhand..

Jilly do you recieve other emails from the photopost system? Example if you turn on moderation do you as an admin get an email you have a photo awaiting approval?
Check in your Global Options in Admin that your email address is entered correctly. Also if you get no emails from Photopost at all check with your host that php mail is setup and working. Your host would be able to check and see the exact error that is happening here.

Ask them if your hosting account is setup to allow phpmail as this is the simple mail command we send to your server to send an email. You can send them this to comment on but it would appear your not sending any emails and this looks like a server issue. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Okay but your getting no emails period and no errors either so they might need to check the server error logs. You sure your not getting them sent to your spam filter? There should be some trace of an error on your server if the email is not sent.

This is the latest from the server people:
Hello,
I have created a php script with the mail function and it sent the
message just fine. You may want to verify the data that is being passed
to the variables in the scripts. This appears to be a coding issue,
which is beyond the scope of our support, you will want to contact the
software vendor to see what data may be incorrectly getting passed to
the mail function.
- as an end user, how would i be notified if I rec'd an ecard from someone, and they just used my member name? would i get a PM to go look at it?

Please tell us the address of the script and send us ftp information to your server so we can verify and see how they are coding this script. They also may limit you to using a server email as the admin email so this may also be an issue for you if your not using an email on their server as the one that is sending the email so we need to see what they are doing. You are not getting any emails from the site that I see.

I am also having a problem with Photopost emails.
I am on IIS 6, PHP 5 and MySQL 5.
I was on PHP 4.4.7 and it worked fine, then upgraded to 5.2.5 for other compatibility reasons...
The phpmail function immediately broke. I use SMTP mail in vBulletin and it works obviously.
I was wondering if anyone had troubles with the mail function in PHP 5.2.5 ?
Does anyone know of an alternative or a 'hack' that will get it working?
I am using 5.62.

We use the php mail function in php so this would need to be configured properly for php mails to be sent in photopost.
