| No thumbnails when processing images
Ok I'm uploading 2-3 photos in one category, give a title, and hit "process".
In the next step, it gives me a list of the uploaded photos, and their boxes on the right, to fill in title and description to every one of them. In this step, I do not see the images thumbnails on the left.
Check attached image. |

Please check your data path and urls in global options and ensure they are corrupt also under your data directory in photopost check the permissions and make sure the data directory is 777 permissions recursively meaning every directory at every level beneath it is 777. I would suspect you have not set permissions on the thumbs directories under each numeric category to 777

Thanks for the response Chuck.
Paths and urls look ok, and I have made the data directory and all subdirectories CHMOD 777.
If this helps, I can tell you that after the whole upload process finishes, the images' thumbnails show up fine in all galleries.
I don't understand what's happening.

You would need to post a url and test login for us to see what happens.
what is the url to that missing image?

Today it's working again. I don't understand...
Chuck, you may close this thread now. I have created a test user, if the problem appears again, I will send you the test login to check it.
Thanks.

I do have exactly the same problem - and waited for it to go away - which, sadly, it did not. Yes, my data directory and all subdirs are CHMOD 777. Also checked my paths in global and storage options.
Funny thing: It works for "normal" registered users. Just checked that with two test accounts I have. It does not work for me (the admin, of course). Which made me check my own data directories (esp. thumbs) and upload directory yet again; and usergroup permissions, too: They're all set to "yes" (all but "needs moderation", of course).
Any hints?

What do I have where? I do neither know nor own reviewpost, and I don't know what you mean by "option thread". Of course I'm talking about Photopost.

It was a name close to yours but I got confused since the thread I replied to after the other thread was your other one so your name stuck in my head
Well if you get no thumbnail what error do you get? You have stated your data and uploads directories at every level down are 777 right well is safe mode on or off? If the issue is only you and not other users that would tend to tell me that your 1 directory under uploads is not 777.
Please post a url here and a test login for us to try and upload but that would just means it would work because you say its only you other users are fine. If you recheck permissions and thing they are right feel free to email support at photopost dot com and send me your url and admin login as well as ftp login.

Addendum: it does not work with the test admin account I created for you, either. So - perhaps it's a permission problem after all. But, as said before, I don' see it. And I just tested once again with my regular user test account - works there, thumb is visible.

Try viewing the missing image path to see what path it is looking for. Definately some weird permissions issue.

Funny thing: It seems it's not looking for a path at all.
HTML source of the image processing page follows: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
That's the part where the thumbnail should show up, is it not? No <img>-Tags there.

Yeah weird indeed yet it works with some accounts and not others yet in the long run all Photos process fine and view fine from all accounts.
