' in cat names changes

If you put a ' into a category name, it comes out as \' and you have to go back in and take out the \ and then it saves it correctly.

If you can tell me what I need to edit on my 6.01 install to fix this I would appreciate that as this will cause a bunch of headaches on my site.

Nope, this still didn't fix the problem. The category name still puts slashes in front of apostrophes.

Well if your on editcat screen the line i posted would strip the slash off apostrophe if there is one for display. You can try this change in adm-cats.php around line 114

Chuck, will this same solution work for 6.2 on the description for categories?

On my fresh install of 6.2, I placed a ' in a category description and it saved it as \'. I have not tried to edit and remove the \ yet, but figured I would search the forums for a solution and found this thread.

If this will work on 6.2, then I will apply it.

Hey, Chuck. I've been trying to find a solution to this...I just tried what you suggested, but only one problem - I can't find the code Content visible to verified customers only. - where exactly is this??
I have more questions but an answer to this first would be helpful. Many of my Categories have ' in them.
