Question A Username has been reset as Admin :(

Site

This is really weird

One the Moderators logged out and when he wanted to login, he was refused. Then when trying to reset his password, he was presented with my Admin username along with a new password .

Please hurry and help me .

Can you duplicate this yourself? Do you and he have the same email address in the database for those users. You can login as admin and edit users then this is your issue. Because if you choose to reset a password and all your users use the same email it is going to reset the password for the first user it finds with that email. This is the only way I see something like this happening so you need to use different emails.

Chuck, thanx for your reply. He and I have different emails (both on Gmail, though), but of course any resets use my email in doing so, i.e. he receives any notifications from my Admin email.

Another issue surfaced today : all the photos I uploaded, as Admin, have his name as the uploader!!!

Another thing also today, I woke up finding that the display of PhotoPost is ultra wide, please visit the site and see for yourself .

This is the admin user that much I can tell you. Make sure your not giving your mods admin powers in edit usergroups in admin.

I just checked this mod's powers, and they are NOT admin powers.

I had to change the ownership of ALL the photos I uploaded back to my username. I'm really upalled at this bug and at this incident happening to me with such a respectable software .

Hello I am not seeing any bug here as far as resetting passwords. Please feel free to email us with support@photopost.com with any pertinent server info urls and sign ins and an expanded explanation of your username your mods username etc etc as well as turn your gallery off. I need to view it in english to work with it. Quite simply when a user resets their password it is reset based on their email so I dont see how he is going to get a password reset email with your info unless the emails where the same. You can if you have that email post that as well in the email.

Thanks.

I sent a reply to you days ago asking you to have him send the email he gets, I informed you that I tried resetting his password and let me know what he recieves. I am going to assume that there was no issue and his password was changed normally as it is suppose to work since you have not heard from him.
