Cannot delete image entry from database

Cannot delete image from database. I tried to delete an image and it looks like the image file itself is gone but the data in the database is still there.
See the results below

The main gallery still shows the name of the image ( cannon ) with a thumbnail missing sign

http://my.lifeinitaly.com/photopost/

Should I rebuild the thumbnails each time I delete?

Your category cache does not update. In Admin => Global Options turn off the category cache and see how that works for you.

Large and medium images gone

Sorry, Chuck I am here again

I just noticed that on my forum all the large images are gone now. Yesterday I rebuilt ( as I mention in a previous post ) all the thumbnails.
After I noticed that the large images where gone I tried to rebuld the medium images but nothing changed.
What should I look into ?

The image is there

http://my.lifeinitaly.com/photopost/...me_2006_28.JPG

Also I notice your your doing on the fly watermarks if you turn that off does the picture show I bet it does. Check to ensure that the path you are entering for your watermark is full server path including the filename and it must be a png watermark.
