| v6.0 Stars not transparent in IE
See the attached image. The stars for ratings are not transparent when using IE.
Perhaps the .png image files can be replaced with .gif??

They look transparent to me but I dont know where Michael got those Images from I do know they are simply open source icons anyone can use so I am sure they could always be improved.

If you click on my attached image above, you will see the stars are surrounded by orange hazy boxes if using IE. Firefox they display nicely.

Could be some IE issue. I viewed my site in both browsers and did not see any difference. What happens if you use another style?

Yeh, it seems to not be compatible with my style. I tried saving the star as a .gif format and it worked fine, however I did lose some quality in the outline. No longer did I have this crispy outline.
Anyway, thanks for your time.

I have replaced your stars.png image using the standard vbulletin star image (I had to reduce the canvas size though). To keep things standard for forum owners, I would suggest new releases of photopost use the vbulletin standard star.
You can download the star at http://www.animeonline.net/gallery/images/star.gif. It also fixed the problem with my forum style.
I also removed the alt text for star.png as it looks stupid to see "*" popup when scrolled over by a mouse.
Just a suggestion.
Cheers.

Well see here is my problem though. Your claiming there is a problem with the image not being transparent and it is not a problem with your css stylesheet. The problem though is if the actual image we are using is not transparent then there would be an issue with any stylesheet that has a background color different than that of the image. http://www.omegatron.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=5
See my thinking here so I did a test here is a nice black background even darker than yours and there is no image issue here. That would lead me to beleive there is some css property in your specific stylesheet that is causing this issue.
I hope that makes a little sense here. I have not debugged your specific stylesheet but if the image is truly transparent which it seems it is then we need to look into why your style is causing the issue.

Seems you are having a problem too if you look at your link in IE. The problem is it doesn't show nicely in IE.
Glad to know now that it's just not my css. |

My site looks fine with no issues with my Internet Explorer 7 Mozilla or Opera browsers. Interesting indeed.

But sites with a dark background will have issues with the stars in IE. Such is the case with the link you provided in post #9 above. It doesn't show nicely in IE.
So I suggest new releases of photopost use the star.gif image and update the showphoto.php file.
