v6.0 Signature not displaying correctly in comments

Hello,

My signature is displayed over a few different lines and has an image in it too using the SIGPIC tags. Also some text in my signature is a different colour. Unforunately the sig doesn't show correctly when leaving a comment for images.

See the comment by my username Dragon Ball at http://www.animeonline.net/gallery/s...hp?photo=14897.
Also coloured text and smilies do not appear in the comments.

To see how my sig should appear, please see http://www.animeonline.net/f26/gallery-upgraded-32097.

Thank you.

How about you post a test user login so I can try making a signature to see if bbcode is parsed.

The reason being is someone posted this a few days ago and as stated I showed them an example of bbcode working fine in a signature and their own issue seemed centered around sigpic which seems to be some added bbcode from the norm and that maybe the issue. Do regular bbcodes work in the signature area because I show they do.

The BB Code I'm using is:

Quote:
Very nice. I like how you branded it in the bottom right with your details. Blends in very nicely. :
The smiley doesn't work, nor does the colour. Only the bold works.

You can use the test account I emailed you before. Username was mycolumbus.

I can not assist you with the quick comments box. Michael has removed all traces of vb3 enhancements to quick comments in version 6 so he will be addressing this in other threads.

As far as your signatures etc here is a test on your site we parse bbcode etc fine in comments and signatures. Your issue seems to be with that special bbcode. I used smilie and img bbcode

Thanks for looking into this.

I noticed you used the smiley and it worked fine. But other smilies do not work, yet they are indeed setup correctly in vb admin panel and working in the main forums as intended. Just PP doesn't pick it up.

Furthermore, standard coloured text BB code doesn't work, which I see you didn't test.

The signuature you were testing only included the img tag. It doesn't work with standard colour tags. I have gone in and added more to the sig for mycolumbus, so you can see what I mean.

And the sig stays all on one line like the same prob we have with posting comments that they stay all on one line and line breaks are not recognised.

Thank you.

If you go to User CP for username mycolumbus, you will see the sig has bbcode for different colours and SIGPIC image. Furthermore it spans over more than one line. But when you made a comment at http://www.animeonline.net/gallery/s...hp/photo/21115, the sig does not display basic bbcode, recognise line breaks nor smilies such as the big grin smiley and others.

Well we shall look into it

Last night I saw them displaying fine on that post when I commenting so what did you do.

I just played with it again we are converting bbcode

http://www.animeonline.net/gallery/s...hp/photo/21115

I will be glad to pass along to Michael we do not support curently the new advanced bbcode sigpic thing. That might take a little till we support this.

You can attempt this in showphoto.php make sure your $usigline is this.

Didn't touch a thing. Some of my added smilies also don't work. The one with the big grin :

Pity sigpic is not supported. Many of our members use this and will look strange to just have the SIGPIC code shown instead.

Anyway, will wait til Michael takes a look.

Thanks.

We are finding out all this new remember. I never knew what sigpic bbcode was. No one has reported this and we are getting slammed with little things like this. Any new thing or change in vb is not supported till we add that and sorry thats just not it is. The line I posted above converts returns

http://www.reeftalk.com/gallery/show...php?photo=1339

I posted a smilie that doesnt work for me either it seems vb has changed the way they do custom smilie replacements. Normall bbcode and smilies work as I can see. Its any custom bbcode or smiles you want to use or the new sigpic thing if I follow correctly.

Correct.

Anyway, thanks for the fix for line returns. Will just wait for the rest of the fixes to follow in due time.

Cheers.

Good glad we got that figured out. I suspect there was some change in 3.68 to things a little since no one has reported this in prior versions and nothing has changed on our end I see in how we handle things.

I would suggest you redownload the build and upload all the files except the config files. That should fix this.

Great. Can you tell me what files need replacing from the new build to fix all outstanding issues? The build I used was from the 27th Sep (still currently stuck).

Actually no I could not off the top of my head tell you that since Michael handles the Photopost build. He usually posts an announcement but I am not seeing one. I tell everything best way to ensure you upload everything just upload everything except the install file the two config files and header footer files. That should be it really.
