6.0 - 9/27 build - Comment box missing

I know this has been reported in another thread. Not sure you wanted it in that thread or not. On Chucks request, to fix the wrong size comment box, I downloaded and unzipped the newest build; 9/27/07. I overwrote every single file.

Now I have the following tickets being posted.

Quote:
I reported earlier I did not have a space for comments. I was using Explorer. I downloaded & installed Firefox. Still do not have a place for comments. I have the word "Comments" and the submit button, but nowhere to type

For some reason I can't comment in the gallery. I've tried using both IE and Firefox and it's the same thing. The little comment box just isn't there. The submit button is there and when I tried clicking it to see what happens, it tells me that I haven't typed anything (I know that much!). I noticed that the gallery was being updated earlier today, so I'll keep trying, but thought you should know.

there is no reply box when I am looking at a layout. I was wondering why so many had no comment and no I think I know why

All of a sudden I do not have a box to type comments in. There is the word "comments" & the button, but no where to type. It was working this morning. I do have Explorer & can research Firefox, but I don't know how my security would be effected.

Hi Stacey,
Sorry for the delay replying I just got home, now there isn't anywhere for me to comment. Now it just says comment and submit

These are from all different customers.

I just checked myself, and there is indeed no comment box. There is the word "comment". There is the submit button. There is NO comment box.

I'm not saying this to be rude, but the next time Photopost puts out a gold version of Photopost, I do believe I"m going to wait a couple months before I apply it to my very active and busy live site. This latest bug cripples our forums, since the big appeal is the comments on our members layouts.

Are you sure there isn't a box there? Is it possible the box shares a common CSS with the background and just isn't appearing obviously?

The only tickets where I see that users have no comments box is when they have vb hacks like vbspell etc installed.

Try disabling your plugin system in vb and see if the comments box displays.

The latest quickcom.tmpl in the vb3enhanced template actually doesn't use a vB input box; so the plugin wouldnt be an issue here. Colors, on the other hand, might be masking the box since I have a very black theme and using one combination of settings I couldnt see the input box.

It wasn't an issue with CSS. I don't know what I did to resolve the issue, but it is resolved.
