PP 6.0 - Regsitration with & without captcha not working

FYI

1. When Captcha is set to "no" in ACP (this is the default setting), then regsitration of a new user is impossible.

Within the regsitration screen there is nothing (which is o.k., because captcha is turned off), but when hitting on submit, the error comes up:

----------------

"Age Image Verification (to verify you are at least 18 years of age, please enter the code on the left in the box on the right)"

-------------------

So it is impossible to regsiter without captcha turned on. Should not be like this.

2. When Captcha is turned "on", then I see the image, but when hitting on submit I get the rror:

"We experienced a problem adding your account. Please contact the System Administrator."

So no matter what I do in ACP, a new user can not register.

PP 6.0 fresh installation, no integration, no hacks

Hi

no, even after the code change it does not work in any captcha setting (on or offer does not matter)

both cases give now the error:

"We experienced a problem adding your account. Please contact the System Administrator."

I updated the build with a new register.php and register.tmpl; can you download the build and update those two files. I confirmed it works on the test install above.

Hi

I downloaded it 5 minutes ago and replaced the 2 files. Still the same problem.

Well I show we add the column on the upgrade and install weird.

Try running this query in phpmyadmin for you database to add the missing field

ALTER TABLE pp_users
ADD realname varchar(80) default NULL;
