Search Not Working as Intended

Hello,

Below are my search results on our gallery running 5.62.

Test search "Sky"

-"search title only"
OK, 26 results
-"search titles and description"
OK, 66 results
-"search all fields"
OK, 72 results
-"search comments"
OK, 0 results for this string

Search by user
-OK

Search by date
-OK

Select categories
BROKEN

search: "sky" + category "female scans"
BROKEN, 72 results... first page = 1 fanart, 2 sigs, 1 wall, 1 avatar, 3 member pictures, 1 wallpaper, 3 female scans, 2 male scans

-11/15 of my results are not what I wanted

search: "sky" + category "fanart"
BROKEN, 72 results, identical to the previous ones

-14/15 of my results are not what I wanted


Other Issues

-there is no search by tags... why am I tagging this stuff again?

-the only way to access advanced search from most gallery pages is to submit a blank search

-default search on most pages is the broadest possible search: all categories and all fields including descriptions and comments. Making default searches incredibly broad and the results more irrelevant than not.

-searches for small words and abbreviations turn up every word that contains that combination of letters.

- BL (Boy's Love) turns up results for "black" and "blue"
- AI (a girl's or character's name) turns up the words "ain't" and "AIM"
- CAT (animal) turns up "catch" and "category"

There is no way to specify an exact search.

Michael and I are both aware of this but there is no response yet. Michael suggested line 475 of search.php is missing this code in bold however that does not appear to fix it for me but you may try.

Nope... this fix is not working either. This is rather a big bug as it prevents functionality of the gallery. I hope it can be fixed asap and am surprised it has already gone so long as a bug.

No one has reported this and the fix Michael posted does not work either. We are still testing this. I know it worked before Michael is out of town when he comes back I will see if he has another idea. I am not seeing anything out of place.

Grab the search.php from the current build; I just updated it with a small change to fix the category issue.
