Album Disappearing

One of my users deleted a photo in his personal albums, and now none of his albums show up at all.

I can see them in the admin panel, but they do not show up on the site.

I've run various db scans a number of times -- it's not bringing them back. I'm not sure if he somehow turned his entire gallery private - I can't tell because it seems like the admin panel doesn't tell you if they're private or not.

Any idea what I can do to get his photos back?

in admin scan database what happens if you check the tool to rebuild the last photo uploaded

Why do albums disappear?

they delete their placeholder so you need to update that

What do you mean by placeholder? Do you mean whatever image is being used as the thumbnail image for the album?

It just seems to me that this shouldn't happen. I never had these problems with Menalto Gallery or Coppermine.

The feature was not designed for someone to delete their placeholder photo on members gallery which is the last photo.

We will be making changes to this function a little with pp6

So if someone uploads a photo and then deletes it (without uploading anything else), it's deleting their placeholder photo?

yes which is why Michael has the admin tool. I think with pp6 he will be adding in other checks to update that photo if its deleted
