You can only upload as many photos as GD2 will process. If you continue getting the error either increase your php memory or more importantly get rid of all files in your uploads directory and then in edit usergroups set LIMITS to filesizes etc so this will not be triggered. Try setting smaller max height width limits besides 2500x2500

ok i am told they are installing imagemagick for me
and i am waiting for the path to mogrify
can i assume i can make the switch froom gd2 to imagemagick
simply by changing the settings in both global and config options
without any adverse affects to my current installation?
i dont want to lose whats already up there
thanks in advance

You need to set the proper path to mogrify in the config. A 127 error means mogrify can not be found
