Exclamation Image type not supported yet

Hello,

I just moved my site to a new server. Now when people try to complete the upload process they get this error: Sorry, this image type () is not supported yet.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories

Most likely you need to reset the permissions on the data directory

what type of image are you uploading maybe there is an image in your upload que that GD2 will not handle on your server. Delete all folders under your uploads folder

delete any directories under the uploads folder not the uploads folder itself

No deleting folders under uploads would not delete photos since photos are stored under the data directory

Double Check Permissions and your server paths to ensure they are correct as well as the image type you are trying to upload is a supported image type for GD2.

.jpg is the problem and GD2 does support that. I even got my husband into checking permissions and the directory 'gallery' is 777 with the exception of help, language and one other. All other software, classifieds and ratings are working fine. All looks correct in admin. Anywhere else I can look?

As I noted in your other support post you did not update the server path to the new one in Admin => Storage Options. Your good to go.
