I always have to scan the database when ...

.. someone inserts a picture it will show a blank name and then I have to go to Check here to resync photo/comments usernames/update comments counts. and run that after that it will show up in the correct name and folder??!!! What can I do to change that? I am running a phpbb forum.

Why doesn't it just automatically put it in the correct folder. The person has to be logged in to upload a picture so why doesn't it show until I scan the database? I don't always think about doing that so people wonder where their picture are when they click on their galleries.

Thank you!!!!

You have the wrong integration or something checked like vb2 not phpbb

You need to install the application to integrate with your proper forum

Thanks for checking that out can you point me in the right direction to fix that? CAuse when I go edit integration in my admin its all on off:
Do you want to enable the vB3 Integration which uses your vB3 headers, footers and styles? Off
Do you want to enable the vB3 Enhanced features which use vB3 controls in PhotoPost? Off
If using the Enhanced option above, do you want to enable the vB3 WYSIWYG control in Post Comments? Off
vB2 INTEGRATION
Do you want to enable the vB2 Integration which uses your vB2 headers and footers? Off
vB2Portal INTEGRATION
Do you want to enable the vB2Portal Integration which uses your vB2 Portal headers and footers? Off
If enabled, Server Path to vBPortal directory

Thank you!!!

It is the integration you set things to when you install the application under forum settings in admin

I notice on upload it throws a mysql error saying it cant grab the forum database info and the integration type. It looks to me your integrating with the wrong forum type.

If you have a database viewer like phpmyadmin I would suggest checking your photopost database table settings and make sure setting 41 says phpbb2 and setting 83 has phpbb_. You can also check your config to make sure it has all the right database info

Hmm well first off thanks for the info - secondly I went into my phpadmin and under line ID 41 User REgistration System it says vbversion phpbb2, and under ID 83 Forum database table prefix dprefix itsays phpbb_ and also looking in my Admin>URL to your forums main directory
This is the URL path to your forum installation=http://www.hookedondigiscrap.com/forums
and then User Registration System is set to phpbb2
and Forum database table prefix is phpbb_
and since I don't have V3 this Use Integrated forum stylesheets?
If you use a forum like vB3 or Threads and want to use the intergated stylesheet option, choose Yes - is set to NO.
So I guess something must have gone wrong somewhere. Just don't know where. But I appreciate your help!!!

Is the right database info for phpbb entered in the config file

Do you not see the same mysql error I see when uploading a file?

I would suggest you download the build also and replace your files incase you have modified anything at all

I DO see the same error - its called in www/photopost/forum/phpbb2.php line 29 .... And when I uploaded photopost I made sure I got the correct selection phpbb2 and the paths .. I didn't touch those - whatever was set is how I left them - I don't even know how I would go on changing the paths but I will take a look at all my files. Thanks

That error tells me you do not because we can not query the phpbb session table

Is your phpbb forum okay because basically we can not query the phpbb database thats your issue

Make sure you upload clean photopost files except the configs.

Check your phpbb database tables to ensure they are not corrupt and in the Photopost config-inc.php file the proper database info in user database is there for phpbb

Everything seems to run ok I haven't had any forum problems, I did have problems with people getting errors but that was because I had a cashmod installed - which I got rid of. I appreciate your promtness in your answers and your helpfulness .. I am a bit hesitant to change certain files because I am not like an experienced installer, ... but I will go ahead and take my time and only import the old user file and old post file and try everything else new.
Thanks again ...

With Photopost you upload everything except the config files and you will be fine as far as our files.

The specific error you have on upload tells me we cant query the phpbb database

Hey again sorry to be a bother - I just don't want to loose all the picture you said not to upload the config file, but where do all thepictures get loaded up to? So I don't overwrite those either - and the comments. I want to make sure that people don't have to upload all over again.
Thanks

That is the database tables and data folder.

You can not overwrite pictures if you do what I stated
