Problem after move

Hey guys!
I have just changed my webserver and are running infto some problems. I have done a couple of hous searching but really cant find anything wrong.

Everything works find exepct that its not possible to make new categories or upload new photos. Everything seems to go well but the picture just doesnt upload. I dont get any error.

All my datafolders are 777 so that shouldnt be any problem.

I was thinking it might be GD that was bugging and switched to imagemagick. That didnt work. The problem that it was not possible to make new categories was also there so it shouldnt be any problems with the image processors.

I got the same problem with both my Photopost PRO and Photopost classified.

Remeber i dont get any erros whole uploading or creating new categories. The files/folder just doesnt show up on the server.

It doesnt display any error. It makes them in the DB but it doesnt make the folders. Same thing with the images. They just dont store it in the filesystem.

It seems like a chmod problem but everything is 777.

That sounds to me like safe mode is ON in the server and nothing we can do about that you need to have your host turn that off if thats the case

You can email us an admin login to take a look at your settings

easy you created two test categories on your database and did not copy over the new data directory where those cats existed would easily explain your situation to a tee.

I created a new category on the moved site and works fine

Try the same thing with your classifieds verify your data path in global options and then ensure all categories you create you copied all the data folders thats all you need to do. If you created any test cats delete them and recreate one to test

When images are uploaded it doesnt write to the folders. All folders in the data dir are 777.

So it seems like you placed an ad sucsesfully but the images doesnt show. And if you rightclick over them and get their url and try to show that imageurl. You get a 404.

If your telling me the issue is that your data directory does not exist then your issue is as I have stated.

Verify your data directory server path not url

Look at the cat number for a category your uploading to and verify if a numeric directory with that same number exists under the data directory

I have now noticed another future that doesnt work. It is a similar one witch includes img uploading by PHP.

I think it is a rights/ownership problem but as i can see it looks the same as the ones that works.

I can upload via ftp to the folders but not with php. I have also gone trough my shell log and check for anything i did that made the Photopost Pro work. But i did the same chmod and chown commands on both datafolders at the same time. Its strange that one is working.
