owner/group changed on thumbnail creation

Don't know if this is a bug or some setting on the server where my photo gallery is hoste, but when i run
Scan Database -> Rebuild all thumbnails for a certain category the owner/group on the thumbnails is changed.

What could the case of this?


Some additional information.

I imported my previous gallery from 4images into photopost. Photopost expects there was a thumbnail and media directory under the 4 images data directory, but i my case there was no thumbnail directory.

PHP version 5.2.0
MySQL version 5.0.27-standard

I use GD2

phpinfo gives me this;

GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.28 compatible)

The owner or group of new files created on your server is determined by your host server setup not the software. Not sure what behavior it causes as not your really listing that info

Thanks, that's what my host told me too. Together we are looking into this.

The only thing I asked is what you think is wrong or is there an issue because of this?

Chuck the issue that i had was that no thumbnails were showing. I tought the change in owner/group and non-showing thumbnails was somehow related, but they're not.

Strange since yesterday i tried to view it in three different browsers and all exhibited the same behaviour.

Today i looked at my gallery again from a different location (at work) and there everything was OK.
And now this evening when i got home and opened up a browser again everything is OK too.

Guess it was cache related.
