Images deleted

Hi anyone

My server has just been hit by a virus that has deleted ALL my images on my forum, and also their backup (on same server -daaa) all I'm left with is the black box place mats with no images showing of course, has anyone else had this problem, as suspected they are saying it's either a program called mambo(which I don't have) or the photo program at fault!!!

Maybe it's photshop as I am using ver 5.3...

SO.....
Is it the servers fault?
Or my fault for not upgrading??
Or none of the above???

Anyway water under the bridge as they say, I just need to get it running again, is there a quick way to get rid of the black box place mats or pointer to files not there for the images so I can upload them all again without loosing the database???

A virus on there server would involve your server

I dont think anyone could hypothesis here what is your exact issue but if something has deleted folders on your server and also messed with their backups this issue is there's and not directly related to any software

Now as stated all the facts are not posted here as saying you have bit hit by a virus could be incorrect

I can't really talk about your forum since thats not our software and there are many forums butt to be able to get your gallery photos back you need to have a backup of the data directory and restore it or your database is worthless.
