Batch upload error

Whenever I use batch upload, if I tell it to process more that 10 at a time around the 20th photo I get the following error.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 13 bytes) in /my full path/gallery/pp-inc.php on line 1152

That is merely a PHP timeout error due to memory being exhausted all PHP functions on the server shut down.
