| White Screen, I am at my wits end
I have a user that has not been able to upload photos with any significant degree of sucess. When this user first experienced the the white screen problem which is discussed in multiple threads here, I was using GD2 as the server side image processor. I read all the threads here about the white screen, GD2, and PHP, all the PHP related variables, .....everything. I made all the suggested changes to try to get GD2 to work. I finally gave up because of the negative report cards you guys gave GD2.
A week ago I asked my hosting company to install ImageMagick on my server since you guys said it would put an end to the white screen problem others have talked about. The ImageMagick has now been installed on my sevver and I am unhappy to report that the user who had the white screen problem, still has the white screen problem, even with Imagemgick as the image processsor.
Only one user has reported having problems. This user is attempting to upload .jpg images with a file size of 2MB to 3MB. I have uploaded the very same files, 5 at a time and have never been ablt to duplicate the problem... even when I was using GD2 as the image processor. My board is new and does not have a lot of users. Ther are only about 6 users that have uploaded photos, but none have attempted to upload files as large as this user I am speaking of. I've had the user email the photos to me and I haven't had any problems uploading them. I've uploaded files as large as 3.6mb in groups of 5 at at a time and everything worked. This one user jus can't seem to get things to work. One user might seem like a small proble but at this pion that one user represents 20% of the people uploading photos and I don't want it to remain 20% as my number of users increases.
I am at my wits end here fro what to do next. I need some suggestions. I know that the user has aol as their service provider. Could aol be somehow to blame for this problem. I have never been able to duplicate this problem. I find it hard to believe that the problem is with my server or image processing. But...how on earth can this problem be explained? Something has to be causing it. How can I get to the root of the problem??? I'm desperate!
