Search results are not limited to the category or categories selected.

I too have problems searching with catergories, when selecting categories to search, they are returning results for all cats

Yep easy fix. In search.php the define for $catcheck is only under the comments portion an oversight

So at line 416 abouts add in bold

then at around the new line 482 you see this and add in bold
