upload error messages....HELP!

Hi,

I haven’t changed anything, but just tried uploading into the gallery and I and my members are getting these error messages:

Problem running JPEGTRAN:

"/usr/bin/jpegtran" -copy none /home/timeles1/public_html/gallery/data/500/Christmas_2004.jpg

Error Code: 1

And….

Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpZMxSKR' to '/home/timeles1/public_html/gallery/uploads/2/sundaychallenge.jpg' in /home/timeles1/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 37

Other ladies are getting this:

Okay couple things to try.

One thing is ftp to your server and set your data and uploads directories at every level to 777. You can then remove jpegtran path in global options.

So clueless will upgrading to the newest version fix this for me since I need to upgrade anyway, or should this issue be fixed before the upgrade takes place?

Upgrading will not help. You must set the permissions stated on the directories I noted for uploads to work. This is based right off the Photopost installation documentation here.
