Unregistered Comments

One of our registered users (Crimsonblood) is suddenly posting comments that are showing up as Unregistered (we don't allow guests to leave comments).

Example here:
http://www.photographyblog.com/galle...to=47409&cat=2

The photo was uploaded by Crimsonblood, and the second comment is also by the same user, using the same IP address, but the comment shows up as Unregistered.

Earlier comments that this user made today had the correct username assigned to them, and also a later one. Crimsonblood actually left this message on a later photo "LOL I guess that is what I get for clearing all my cookies and whatnot on Mozilla Firefox".

Anything to worry about here?

Maybe his cookie timed out and he was not logged in but just in case double check your permissions again

Hi Chuck,

I did check the user group permissions and all seems OK. I also tried viewing the Gallery as a non-registered user and couldn't post comments etc.

So a registered user can post comments without being logged-in, if there's a cookie issue of some kind?

If your logged in your comment should show your name and I did a test post and it showed up as you so all looks fine. I also can not post a comment as unregistered so it is hard to say what he did.

OK, I think I'll just consider this to be an anomaly!
