Talking Initial PP5.6 greatness & problems

PP5.6, that member profile feature in PP is superb, really cool addition... i upgraded from 5.5 ok, had an error though >

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
i like the language file comments indicating which language elements are new to the version...very nice

I see highest rated can be controlled, just noticed that my highest rated image which is shown in the rating pal is blank... has been since the crash i had, i wondered how i may remove the entry... an image somewhere in my gallery which may have been removed or is missing or not registered correctly is still being added as 'top rated' i can see the box (blank) then the next two top rated which show links & titles... (would be nice with a small thumb one day, nudge nudge wink wink

One thing, all the vbadvanced templates need those missing style elements inserted... if i get time tomorrow i can do these for you...it's just the buttons and input styles which i have to edit everytime to match my vB style...

besides that wicked!...

by the way... for vB-int users does 'edit profile' do anything?, i saw a save button and that was it

Edit Profile allows you to control the layout of your Profile page (the PhotoPost Profile page); saved data will be displayed on that page.

I dont know why you'd already have a 'search' table (unless you ran the upgrade twice); but as long as it is working, thats a good thing.

Im sure the search table might have been added using a vB mod or hack someplace, yes i believe the "last 10 searches by members" mod, i hope PP can still make use of this table...

You mentioned 'layout'? i see the photopost profile page with links to various sections etc, but as to controlling a layout...well it's beyond me at this stage - i see the default avatar and links, even another 'profile' link which takes me back to the same page...a button which does nothing more it seems, the edit profile link just presents me with a save button, i was hoping for some extra inputs or something to enhance my profile for photopost users and myself... but sadly no... still all good though

My ranking problem (as the single man said to the Japanese doctor) still remains, i'll have to wait for an image to beat it in ranks/hits etc to hopefully push the blank entry of the top spot

You might have a problem with the search table if it's not "our" search table; have you tried doing any searches?

http://www.viperalley.com/gallery/member.php?uid=4

On my profile page, I have items that I can enter information in for and then have displayed (I can even use BB Codes). Are you sure you uploaded all your templates? If you edit your profile you should be prompted for additional info. If not, check your Admin Options -> Registration Settings and "Do you want to prompt for optional info during registration?" and set this to YES.

you get the picture... just had to add the missing fields etc, well it worked...once, i saw the thumbs, links to forum posts...coool, now it says 'forwarding to search results' and thats it... same for username searches... i'll delete that table and insert that query again

If you grab the search.php from the current build, I changed one line to allow for username searches only.

yes it's working, username search shows results as does a normal search... "15 result(s) to your search. ()" does that () mean im missing the search string there?... anyways it's working, cheers...also, is it me, or does a normal search produce links to forum posts with the same search criteria?

it says "read this thread for more info".... cooooooool
(might of been a users post to that picture...not sure)

very nice though....

hey... and if you don't insert those missing style tags for inputs & buttons on vB int templates why i'll come over there and and....and... do nothing, i'll do them myself possibly
