Windows Media Player 11: Firefox display

I downloaded Windows Media Player v. 11 recently. I noticed that in Firefox (v. 2), the uploaded video does not conform to the size specified in the embed-ms template, so that if the original video is twice the size of the what's in the template, you can only see half of it. This does not happen in IE though, nor with Windows Media Player 10. Is there anything I need to update in the template, short of reverting back to prior version of Windows Media Player?

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue.

1. Is there any way to remove entirely the "play embedded" feature? I think it should be an admin option to choose play inline, or not.

2. Or, at the least, have it scale to the actual video, versus being forced to play in a certain size?

It is an actual setting in show photo options in admin to use it or not

I just installed v11 and will take a look; probably some code changes needed to the embedded OBJECT template, but until I can research a solution that is backward compatible, I don't have anything to offer.

Well, I can verify v11 does indeed break embedded video. I've found that the classid for v11 is:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
and was able to change that in the embed-ms.tmpl to get it working in IE, but it does not work in FF (I wasnt able to test if it was backward compatible).

I also verified the even QuickTime videos are not playing properly.

Two hours of searching has not yielded any more answers than that.

Michael, I think it's true to all Firefox and WMP v11 users. I have seen this in other sites as well. I hope you find a solution, but could be a Firefox issue as well. Meanwhile, I just put a note below my .wmv videos that says something like, 'Firefox users should have WMP v10 or video may not display correctly'.

I've turned off embedded videos for the time being; I don't see this as being an easy solution given the lack of documentation available.

I have firefox latest 2.0.0.4 and windows media player 11 since I run windows vista I dont see to have any issues using the embed video

Here is a wmv video

Maybe there is something specific about the actual home machine setup that breaks things

Here's what I'm seeing:

http://www.dabearz.com/multimedia/sh...php/photo/2288

Now, I've restored to the original embed files, and they play wierd as well..

When I double click them, they play fine on the full screen view mode.

I actually didn't notice the issue, as I have IE, and they play just fine..

I am running the standard embed from 5.62 and have the latest Mozilla 2.0.0.4 and I can see the football video fine. Takes awhile to load on your site but does play after it loads.
