jpg error

I am getting this error with the uploads of jpg's:
Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg() [function.imagecreatefromjpeg]: '/home/mysite/domains/mysite.com/public_html/photopost/uploads/1/waste1.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file in /home/mysite/domains/mysite.com/public_html/photopost/image-inc.php on line 99

Any idea what the problem is? Never had this before. BTW: i just patched photopost with the new patch, this may be related.

That is telling me that the file is not a valid jpeg maybe it is a gif image someone renamed a jpg.
