users upload issues

help needed for uploading images.

photopost runs in the same sql with vb3. installation worked perfectly.

admins upload runs without any problems - several times.
users (supermod) upload forces a blank page while processing upload images.

after new installation of ppp 5.5 sometimes first upload works with
success but second fails with blank page.

users permissions are set uploads are allowed to.
trailing slash / is set after url to data
directories /data and /uploads are set recursively 777.

tried lots of configurations but no more ideas right now.

any hints ?

when is was reading that the problem could be GD2
than i remember my very first installation of pp 5.5
not in the same sql database with vb3. user uploads
workd fine. upload issues startet since pp installed in
the same sql.

anyway. your hint was very successful. thanx a lot!
