Getting a TON of MySQL errors lately

Not sure what happened, but getting a bunch of these being logged:

Quote:
An error was encountered during execution of the query:

SELECT id,user,userid,cat,title,bigimage,views, id*0+RAND() as rand_col FROM class_products WHERE approved=1 AND status=0 AND cat != 70 AND cat != 71 ORDER BY rand_col DESC

The query returned with an errorcode of:

Got error 12 from table handler
Any ideas on what is going on?

Long and short of it mysql server level memory issue but where are you running a query like this? Looks like from a hack to me as thats not a query in our program by default

No changes have been made in my PhotoPost software for quite a long time. And no, I don't exactly know where this code is being run because the error code doesn't give me a clue about such info. But I am getting HUNDREDS of these errors every day now, which is a recent development.

There have also been NO changes on my server either, if this is in fact a memory issue as that link you provided infers.

I have to assume that each of those error emails coming to me means some user tried to do something that failed.

Yeah, I know I can turn off the emails, but that is kind of like cutting off my hand because my finger hurts...

That is why my response is based on here. error 12 is a mysql error saying the mysql server is running out of memory. The rememdy is to give more memory to mysql. This is a server error

Well Chuck when you are right you are RIGHT!

I rebooted the server and all is well again.

Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.
