Manage Album change owner problem

When I go to a users album ...
Manage Albums > Edit

From what I can ascertain, the Change Owner field is empty at Edit.
However, if I have created an album previously, it auto enters my username at Edit.
I believe this is a memory thingie of my browser (Safari).
Therefore if, say my intent is only to edit album description, and I click Save without changing my username back to the album owners username, it saves the users album in my username.

What it needs to have is the current owners username in this field at Edit function, just like when editing a users' single photos at the gallery.
Then if one wishes to change the username, the current username can be deleted and a new username entered.

What does "these lines must be this" mean ?

Are you saying that this is a 5.5 bug and your example is a code patch that fixes the problem? If so, are we supposed to search for the provided fix and replace it with itself?

Or are you making sure that the original poster hasn't modified the source files?

Has the 5.5 release been updated with bugfixes without changing the version number?

The code is as I posted not what you have above

Your missing the query line where parent is added also and you have some [/v] above that does not belong

Well? Is this a bugfix? Has 5.5 been updated since it was initially released?

replace lines 245 - 260 in useralbums.php with Chuck's code and please ignore my previous post # 5 (I was just trying to be helpful)

Thanks again Chuck for your continued support.

Thanks for straightening out my sweetheart Chuck!
I'll give her a A+ for effort and now it's corrected
Couldn't have done it without her.

The username who created the album will now show in the Change Owner field To change owner, delete username and add new username.

tikomat, AFAIK, the latest build/bug fix info is located in the top thread of this forum.

If you can't do this fix before it is in the next build, fyi I believe it only affects editing a users album info from Manage Album.
In the interim, if you need to do an edit, just make sure to type in the username of the album owner before clicking Save.

Cheers

Ahh I see. I was under the impression that version numbers were meant to identify a unique release. Releasing two versions under the same number is an interesting approach to technical support and sure to keep your customers on their toes!
