Image Counts

I created a personal album in a specific category...the images are there and everything works as it should, however, on the index it does not indicate any photos being there.

What is the problem, have others experienced this? I see others who have moved items have, however, I have not moved them or anything.

You have an example? when you assign an album to a category the photo count if any images are in there are included in the cat totals

Sure...here is an example...This album Big Nuts Racing's Nissan Skyline GTR is part of the category Big Nuts Racing Images. If you look on the index, it does not indicate any photos??

Thats not an album assigned to a category though. Albums by default show in category 500 when they are unassigned to a category

Thats the members gallery. You can set the members gallery shows all a users photos to yes in showgallery options in admin to have members gallery show a total count of all photos otherwise thats only going to show a count for photos in cat 500.

It that is not assigned to a category, why is it when I click on the Big Nuts Racing Images catefory that album appears?

Yes because your running 5.5 and the breadcrumb has been changed to include album names its new with 5.5

This clearly shows the album in question right. At least thats my take on viewing the link your providing. Its just a normal album assigned nowhere and as such any user albums assigned nowhere appear under the users members gallery

Can you screw anything up in the database by doing these commands?

No thats what they are there for to resync counts rebuild missing thumbnails etc

What happens if you turn off your category cache?

I am seeing no issue with this I unassigned one of my albums to a category and assigned an album to the members pics cats here on my little site and no issues see it shows 16 pics yet only 2 pics in that cat and the one album so the counts are right. If I take away the album it shows 2 pics as the count
