Photo count issue on Index

When moving photos from one category to another, the photo count on the main index doesn't update. On my gallery, I moved 4 photos that were posted in the Member Galleries Category and I moved them to Dodge Caliber Garage Category. When viewing the main index, the post count is 0, but when entering the Dodge Caliber Garage Category, there is indeed 4 photos.

How do I fix this to properly show the correct number of photos?

Also I just noticed that the moved photos have no thumbnail in the recent photos block.

where did you move them what action?

I show that we refresh the cache on move so let me know where your doing it admin or front end from showphoto editphoto etc.

I moved them from the front end from showphoto.php. Although I just check the gallery and the two problems went away. What causes this?

That is the category cache you can turn it off in global options if you want. Now I show we refresh the cache is you move or delete a photo maybe your cache got stuck
